Innerkip Highlands Golf Club was originally built in the early 1980’s and consisted of only 9 holes. In 1993 the course was purchased by the McLean-Peister group, a community-minded family well known for over 65 years for service and integrity. Our reputation for providing excellent golf course conditions at an affordable price is firmly established after more than 20 years of building good customer relationships.
Major renovations began immediately after the purchase of Innerkip Highlands, with one goal in mind: to improve the golf course in both aesthetics and efficiency. Since 1993, several tee decks have been rebuilt, two ponds and a waterfall have been created, the old clubhouse was demolished and replaced with a beautiful western Douglas Fir structure, the signature #5 Island Green was crafted and contoured, Willie the Caddie was carved from a large Maple Tree, paved cart paths were added throughout the course, many waste and sand bunkers have been added, removed or redesigned for optimal play, and lastly, neighboring land has been purchased to increase the overall size and length of Innerkip Highlands. The Peister family has made a concerted effort to develop what is arguably one of the most well-respected golf facilities in southwestern Ontario.
